This book art project starts from the three core chapter of Vatsyayana’s text. I had read some Italian translations of, had tested them, they didn’t work. So I translated the text anew, tested it, it worked, I added illustrations to make it easier and put them in intricated book binding to make the game more intriguing.
The three chapter of the book find place in three pockets of the folder as follows:
- One esa-tetraflexagon with a graphical schema of “Kinds of Union According to Dimensions”
- Two tetra-tetra flexagoni with an illustrated translation of “On the Various Ways of Lying Down, and the Different Kinds of Congress”
- One one pamphlet (closing in simplicity) with the translation of “On Holding the Lingam in the Mouth”
Of course I didn’t translate from Sanscrit, you can find an on-line English translation by Sir Richard Burton dated 1883 here.
